एक रुपयात पिक विमा योजना शेतकऱ्यांसाठी आर्थिक दृष्ट्या लाभदायक ठरत आहे. या योजनेमुळे बहुतांशी शेतकरी मोठ्या प्रमाणावर पिक विमा भरत आहेत. पिक विमा हा संरक्षित पिकासाठी एक प्रकारे सुरक्षा कवच आहे. ऊन, वारा, पाऊस, इतर कीड व रोग व अतिवृष्टीमुळे पिकाचे अतोनात नुकसान झाल्यास बाधित क्षेत्रानुसार नुकसान ग्रस्त शेतकऱ्यांना विमा कंपनीकडून पिक विम्याची रक्कम अदा केली जाते.
सन 2024-25 करिता पिक विमा योजना फॉर्म ऑनलाइन पद्धतीने भरणे चालू आहे, आता शेतकऱ्यांना एक रुपयात त्यांचा पिक विमा भरता येईल. पिक विमा भरण्याची अंतिम तारीख 15 जुलै 2024 पर्यंत वाढविण्यात आली आहे. शेतकऱ्यांनी विहित मुदतीत त्यांचा पिक विमा भरून घ्यावा असे आवाहन कृषी विभाग व विमा कंपनीने केले आहे. याची संबंधित शेतकऱ्यांनी याची नोंद घ्यावी.

1) शेतकऱ्यांचे आधार कार्ड
2) शेतकऱ्यांची बँक पासबुक
3) जमीन गट नंबर सातबारा
4) 8-अ उतारा
5) स्वयंघोषित पीक पेरा/ तलाठी अहवाल
पिक विमा कोठे भरावा?
शेतकऱ्यांनी पीक विमा भरण्यासाठी आपल्या जवळील जिल्हा बँक, अधिकृत पिक विमा भरणा केंद्र, आपले सरकार सेवा केंद्र किंवा महा-ई-सेवा केंद्र या ठिकाणी भरावयाचा आहे.
यंदा (सन 2024-25) खरीप हंगामात बहुतांशी ठिकाणी समाधानकारक पाऊस झाल्याने शेतकरी बांधवांनी पेरणीची कामे आटपून घेतलेली आहेत. आता शेतकरी पिक विमा भरण्याकडे वाटचाल करीत आहेत. यंदा जास्त शेतकऱ्यांनी त्यांचा विमा भरला असून उर्वरित शेतकऱ्यांनी विमा भरण्यासाठी 15 जुलै 2024 पर्यंत मुदतवाढ देण्यात आलेली आहे. शेतकऱ्यांनी विहित मुदतीत त्यांचा पिक विमा भरून घ्यावा, अशा सूचना कृषी विभाग व संबंधित विमा कंपनी यांच्याकडून देण्यात आलेले आहेत.
